BELLVIEW HEIGHTS ESTATES - With just under 3,000 people, Belleview ranks as the second largest city in Marion County, behind Ocala. Built around scenic Lake Lillian, it is the site of the annual Founder's Day Festival. A recently built high school is proof that Belleview and surrounding areas continue to grow at a brisk rate. KINGSLAND COUNTRY ESTATES - Tucked in the heart of the “Sun Valley” area, this family friendly subdivision has 834 lots and currently there are approximately 460 homes. New homes are being built at a fast rate, on ½ acre lots or more. This popular subdivision is close to the newest elementary school, new library, and minutes for I75, and the state road 200 shopping and restaurant area. Home recently sold were in the $187,000-$300,000 range. Local families as well as families from all over are discovering this convenient location with lovely newer homes. MARION OAKS - Unlike much of Marion County where communities are clustered around the city of Ocala, Marion Oaks is a self-sufficient enclave in the southwest corner of the county. Marion Oaks, along County Road 484 near I-75, was developed by the Deltona Corporation and has its own churches, community center and shopping. OCALA RIDGE A.K.A. BILTMORE PARK - Close to I75 on the west side of Ocala, this subdivision has almost 1,600 lots total with a combination of zoning and land uses. There are approximately 600 existing homes, mobile homes and multi family units. This family friendly neighborhood is affordable and close to Ocala, and the local airport. Recent sales of home have been form $100,000-$145,000. Lots are selling in the $10,000-$16,000 for ¼ acre lots. ORANGE BLOSSOM HILLS - This fast growing subdivision has close to 3,000 lots, with a total of over 1,300 homes, and more being built everyday. Paved roads are going a this time. It is tucked into the Belleview/Summerfield area continues to grow. It is close to the National forest, hiking trails, horseback-riding trails, and many parks. As is typical to all of Marion County, Belleview and Summerfield have acres of rolling hills, forests, lakes, groves and horse farms. Located just minutes from the interstate, 2 hours from either coast, minutes from the well-known Villages retirement community, this area is enjoying steady growth, both in the commercial and residential areas. Orange Blossom hills is a planned community with home sites for mobile homes, site built homes and commercial. Recent home sales have been from $84,000-$230,000. Residential lots are for sale from $21,900., and building continues. RAINBOW SPRINGS - The neighborhood is a virtual paradise and unique among Florida destinations. The essence of Rainbow Springs is the careful blending of surrounding nature with quality homes. Theirs is a residential country club community of attractive and stylish single family homes and detached villas. Their pool and cabana are the perfect place to enjoy their world famous climate or relax at their private riverside park. They have golfing, tennis, various clubs and water sports. RAINBOW LAKES ESTATES - Located not too far from Ocala, In Dunnellon Fl and is bordered on both sides by beautiful Florida Rivers and only 15 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Dunnellon is home to the Rainbow Springs a first magnitude springs, and also Rainbow Springs state Park. In addition to the springs, there are many lakes. In Rainbow Lakes Estates there are 3. The area of Dunnellon is growing leaps and bounds. In addition to many new home starts there is a new super Wal-mart, new Winn-Dixie and much other commercial development, and the main road into town has been widened recently. Rainbow Lakes Estates has over 12,000 lots and currently there are approximately 2,200 homes. ROLLING HILLS - This country like subdivision is tucked in between Ocala and Dunnellon just of state road 40 and is convenient to the interstate and not too far of a drive to the gulf, or charming downtown Dunnellon. Folks are attracted to the 1 acre plus wooded lots. There are over 4,000 home sites, and currently there are over 750 homes, many of them new construction. Recent home sales have ranged from $117,000-$365,000, on new and existing homes. Vacant parcels for sale range from $29,900 to $205,000 depending on size and location. SILVER SPRINGS SHORES - Heading out County Road 464, or Maricamp Road, you drive into the heart of Silver Springs Shores. This community of about 7,000 is unincorporated but has a bustling community center and continues to grow rapidly. Lockheed Martin is a major employer in this area. |
